    Omuroyama, Sakura-no-sato

    Sakuranosato is a 40,000 square meter space in the foothills of Omuroyama, 15 km south of Ito City. There are 40 varieties, 3000 cherry blossom trees in total grown in the park, for you to enjoy the flowers year round.

    Komuroyama, Tsubaki-en

    There are 1000 varieties and 4000 camellia trees in total in the park. The flowers bloom as early as late October and give a wonderful view all the way to April of the next year. With the many different varieties that bloom one after another, it will surely be a great sight. Enjoy a relaxing walk in the vast park as you enjoy flower viewing.

Ito is a hotspring resort surrounded by nature, with Mt. Amagi to its rear and the Sagami Bay on the other side. There are abundant resources from both the ocean and the mountains that can all be enjoyed at the Ito Hotsprings. The ocean side has Izu's largest port, Ito Port, as well as many fishing ports there. Fresh fish is landed there in the mornings and evenings. In the mountains, the warm climate allows tangerine, wasabi, shiitake mushrooms, and many other crops to be grown. Enjoy seasonal cuisine at Ito, known for our fresh ingredients.
This abundant natural scene is also scientifically valuable, as designated as a "Japan Geopark" in September 2012.

The Good Old Hotspring

The history of Ito Hotspring dates as far back as 1000 AD as a hotspring sanatorium. After the Meiji period, it became well known as a hotspring location all around Japan.
Known as one of the three great hotspring locations of Japan, the amount of spring water is 32,500 liters per minute, the most in all of the Kanto region. You can see the ocean below as part of the beautiful scenery, making it loved by many hotspring fans.
